GALLIPOLI & TROY TOURS

Pick up at 6.30 from your hotel. Departure for Gallipoli. We
will visit:
Kabatepe Museum,
which contains relics from the campaign including original diary
extracts and letters,
Brighton Beach, the
intended landing place. Lunch and swimming, Beach Cemetery on
the southern tip of
Anzac Cove, the
landing place of the first wave of Australian and New Zealand
troops and home to up to 30,000 troops during the campaign,
Lone Pine Australian Memorial,
site of the successful attack and capture of Turkish trenches by
the Australians during the August offensive,
Johnston’s Jolly
where you will visit the original Allied and Turkish trenches
and tunnels,
The Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial,
captured by the New Zealanders during the August offensive. We
will begin our return to Istanbul at approximately 16.00 and you
will arrive late evening in Istanbul. Transfer to your hotel
DAY 1
Pickup from your hotel after
breakfast. Departure from Istanbul to Canakkale crossing the
Dardanelles by ferry and drive straight to
Troy ancient city. Following
a lunch break en-route, you will visit this legendary city
famous for its wooden horse. Drive to Canakkale. Overnight in
Canakkale.
DAY 2
Depart for Gallipoli after
breakfast, crossing the Dardanelles by ferry. Visit Gallipoli
National Park including the
Gallipoli Battlefields,
Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove, original tunnels and trenches
at Johnston Jolly, the Nek Cemetery, Chunuk Bair New Zealander
Memorial, Lonepine Australian Memorial and Brighton Beach.
There will be a late lunch break
given on the return journey to Istanbul. Upon arrival, you will
be transferred to your hotel in Istanbul. |
